Three new Vice Presidents for Cobham Rugby Club

Congratulations to John Craig, Chris Humber and Howard Gaunt

At the clubs recent AGM President Lionel Frewin bestowed the awards of Club Vice President on three membersĀ  who have provided dedicated support to the club.

President Lionel said

'John Craig is stepping down after eight years as Chairman of Youth rugby during which time he has successfully incorporated the new RFU team competitions into all age groups. John has seen the impact of the success of the coaching and training in the number of first team and senior players who have graduated from the youth section'

'Chris Humber has recently stepped down as the Club's groundsman, a post he has held for a number of years and it has been his dedication and commitment that has ensured that Cobham's pitches are some of the finest in the country. That was evidenced in 2015 when Cobham was chosen for its grounds and facilities to be one of only a handful of rugby clubs in the country to host Italy and Namibia'.

'Howard Gaunt has used his vocational skills to provide unstinting support in the creation of the new downstairs members bar ensuring that the project was completed on time and within budget. His skills will continue to be very important to the club as it starts the new AGP project
