Matt Cragg memorial game match report

Annual Boxing Day game attracts large crowd

Boxing Day saw the annual Matt Cragg Memorial game against Old Tiffs which was attended by a large crowd of supporters who had connections and memories of Matt.

Before the game this year  a minute's silence was observed for Pete Smith who passed away this year who really was a fantastic supporter of the Old Tiffs.

As always the game was played in an open and exciting fashion with plenty of exciting running rugby on a very mild day. This year OT were strong, played very well and thoroughly deserved to win by 6 tries to 3 in a feast of running rugby which entertained the large crowd .

The trophy was passed over to the OT captain who also was the the man of the match as the players from both sides settled in for a couple of beers .

Paul and Debbie Cragg continue to be so very grateful for all the support shown and the charity they fundraise in memory of Matt CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) charity - www.c-r-y.org.uk.

Thanks to all the staff who provided the supporters with sustenance.

Happy New Year to everyone connected with Cobham RFC.
